In She Wanted It All, Kathryn Casey provides a very detailed story of the power of greed and how it destroys one’s life and those who they, well in this case, don’t love but use.

Steve Beard was undoubtedly a very good man who loved Celeste and was very forgiving of her “faults.”

But more so, he loved her daughters and sympathized with them for the mother to which they were born.

It seems the “staying married for the children” scenario proved fatal this time.

Readers are given the opportunity to really see into the soul (or empty pit that should contain a soul) of Celeste Johnson Beard.

From birth to prison, readers learn so much about this greedy adulterating wife and mother that it’ll make them appreciate their own mother so much more!

Steve Beard isn’t the only victim in this book and Casey does an excellent job of making that clear.

Celeste may have killed Steve Beard, but she also victimized his children, her own two daughters and just about every one who crossed her path.
