Dead And Buried: A Shocking Account of Rape, Torture, and Murder on the California Coast by Corey Mitchell (October 2003)

Bad Parenting Makes Bad Kids Makes For A Good Book
Review by Kim Cantrell

Award winning author Corey Mitchell has written a spellbinding true crime with his latest book, Dead and Buried.

Although it’s difficult to tell, it is a story that should be told. It could serve two purposes: (1) A written exhibit of what happens when you allow evil to overtake you and (2) A useful guide for parents on the improper schooling methods of child rearing.

Mitchell recounts the life of Rex Krebs, a victim of child abuse and neglect from both of his parents, and how such a life led him to abuse others in the form of kidnapping, torture, rape and murder. Krebs’ biography is both sad and infurating.

But because Krebs was born to parents who had no business having (the poster parents for birth control!), Rachel Newhouse and Aundria Crawford paid a price on a debt they never owed.

Dead and Buried is extremely intense reading. Chocked full of detail, well organized. I highly recommend this excellent work by Corey Mitchell.
