Meet Me For Murder by Don Lasseter (April 2008)

Kristi Johnson, 21, never set out to be a model; but when approached in a Century City mall, she simply couldn’t resist the temptation.

Unfortunately, it was all a scam.

Paleologus had a twelve year history of approaching young women in malls, shopping centers, parking lots, and other public places with the tall tale of being a photographer looking for the next James Bond poster girl.

He wasn’t a photographer, or even involved in the Hollywood business; he was simply a rapist and murderer.

In Meet Me For Murder, author Don Lassiter combines the tragic story of Johnson’s death at the hands of Paleologus with other fascinating, yet just as tragic, stories of modeling jobs gone wrong; including the story of Linda Sobek who was murdered in a very similar scheme.

This is a must read book for anyone who enjoys the true crime genre. Most importantly, anyone who has ever considered modeling such at least take a moment to read the last section of the book that offers some great tips on how to avoid falling victim to such ruthless characters.
