On June 10, 1991, Jayce Lee Dugard, 11-years-old, was snatched by two individuals as she hurried to catch her school bus in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Her stepfather, Carl Probyn, actually heard her screams and attempted to catch the assailants vehicle.
To no avail.
On August 27, 2009 – nearly two decades after her disappearance – Dugard was found alive after she came into the Concord, California police station with her two captors.

Phillip Garrido
Although details are a bit vague, it appears as though her captors, Phillip Craig Garrido and his wife Nancy, had been called in regarding issues with his probation – as a registered sex offender – and police were unable to verify all persons with him; specifically Jayce Lee Dugar, whom Garrido had renamed Allissa.
It was shortly thereafter that officials learned “Allissa’s” real identity and discovered that she had lived in a small compound at the rear of the Garridos’ property; along with her two sons, fathered by her captor, now ages 15 and 11.
I celebrate the return of another missing child, alive and in relatively good (physical) health, to her parents who never believed this day would arrive.
However, I am absolutely sickened and appalled that Garrido, with such a lengthy criminal history of kidnapping and rape, was allowed to even breath the same air as other human beings.
When will our Court ever learn that SEXUAL PREDATORS such as Garrido CANNOT be rehabilited.
EVER.
How about instead of printing all this money to bail out private businesses such as auto makers and banks, we put those billions into taking these perverted individuals off our streets and away from our children?
And let’s consider this – with multiple offenses, how about we put them down like we would a sick animal?
After all, th at’s what they are.
Sexual predators are animals. They are not human.
And save your arguments about how these people (using this term loosely) suffered apparent mental disorders and need help.
Yeah, I get that. Even agree with it.
You have to suffer from something in order to do these things to other persons; especially children.
But how would the animals in nature handle one of their own that exhibited such behavior?
“It” would be considered the weakest link and left to the rear of the pack to be Ravaged by predators.
It’s a simple concept: The thinning of the heard.
Cruel and inhumane?
No more than what they do to their victims.
