There are so many lessons to be learned just by reading about true life stories.
Joining in again on Thursday Thirteen, here are 13 lessons you can learn just by reading true crime:
- Craigslist is not the ideal place to find a date.
- Crazy can come in a pretty package.
- Greed is a deal breaker.
- You can never really know anyone.
- You should never trust a woman with big hair and big boobs.
- Pioneer justice is still alive.
- Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice… don’t count on it!
- You should never accept rides from strangers. No exceptions!
- Naming your child after a famous criminal is not a good idea.
- An otherwise intelligent man will become a bumbling idiot when involved with a tempestuous woman.
- Even a psychologist can use a good psychiatrist.
- An exceptionally high IQ and plain old common sense are usually not found in the same person.
- Wicked stepmothers aren’t just a figment of Disney’s imagination.

Very good advice, indeed! I don’t read true crime, but I sure read a lot of mystery. And yet somehow, I’ve still managed to pick up many of these lessons that way.
I love true crime. Very cool list. Happy TT.
