Hmm, I don't think I'm the irrational one. Do you watch the nightly news? Do you read the local or state newspaper? If the answer is yes, well... I think you know where I'm going with that.

And you must have searched the case, at least the book, to come across this posting. So, really, are you any "better" than us?

Why would you even write this absolutely irrational post?

If you want to read it because your depraved curiosity got the best of you then fine. But don't treat people like they're uptight because they care more about protecting the memories of innocent women than ruminating over the gory details.

If you're getting some kind of expertise at criminal profiling out of reading about the sick pervert then fine. But lay off of the people who don't want new sickos reading it and getting obsessed the way that Komisarjevsky did watching people sleep.

We have been hearing a lot about this case lately because it is finally coming to trial. I read the book "In The Middle of The Night" a few years back and the details of this case are horrifying. It is beyond normal healthy thinking to even be able to come up with the cold blooded acts that these two men committed that night. The book gives the impression that the younger (Komiserjevsky) was highly influenced by the older (Hayes) and that he (Komiserjevsky) only went along with the murders because of his own fear of Hayes. What they did that night is beyond rehabilitation and both should suffer the stiffest penilty that the law allows.

Don't waste your time on this book. I gave it a chance thinking people were just being overly critical because it was written too soon after the events that took place. However, it concentrates solely on the perpetrators and basically tells nothing of the victims. I threw it away after I read it.
