Murdered Woman Reveals Killer’s Identity
Review by Kim Cantrell
Somehow I missed this case that was, according to those who remember, the talk of the nation.
It is the case seen (frequently, from what I’m told) on the television series Unsolved Mysteries about Teresita Basa, who was murdered in her Chicago apartment in February 1977.
The 48-year-old Basa was a Philipino native who, as police would learn, appeared to have no enemies. Friends, co-workers, and relatives could not imagine who could commit such a horrendous act against such a beloved person.
But someone had. And he was still out there.
While the police investigation grew cold, one of Basa’s colleagues began experiencing strange occurrences in which Basa would plead with the woman’s husband to tell the cops who killed her; even specifying that he took her jewelry and gave it to his girlfriend.
I’ll admit it: I’m a skeptic when it comes to psychic phenomena. But interested, nonetheless. So it was with great anticipation that I choose to read Carol Mercado’s book on this case titled Voice From The Grave.
What a disappointment! Mercado apparently wrote this book directly from newspaper and other media resources, including the aforementioned Unsolved Mysteries.
Although only 150 pages, I would recommend not wasting your time or energy. Instead, just watch the videos below.
