Friday Fiction: Fear No Evil by Allison Brennan (March 2007)

Internet: A Serial Killer’s Tool of the Trade
Review by Kim Cantrell

Lucia “Lucy” Kincaid is the youngest of seven children. Eighteen. And about to graduate from high school.

When Lucy fails to appear at her graduation ceremony, her law enforcement brothers and sister kick their efforts to find her into high gear.

As Lucy’s family circles the wagons, FBI Agent Kate Donovan is tracking a vicious serial killer who broadcasts his rapes, tortures and murders to an online audience.

Except Kate isn’t doing this legally; she’s gone deep into Mexico after a previous attempt to catch this killer resulted in the murder of her partner, Paige.

When the Kincaids meet Donovan, they are a force with which to be reckoned and the serial killer known as Trask realizes his days are numbered.

But he has goals and they must be met.

Allison Brennan’s 2007 suspense thriller Fear No Evil is AWESOME. I was hooked with just the first few sentences.

The plot was a little brutal even for me, a true crime junkie, but Brennan makes you want to keep reading; to know the end.

And what makes it even scarier: this could really happen. Truth is, probably does.

Brennan has a terrific talent for scaring the pants off readers while at the same time making them want more, more, MORE!

I definitely recommend reading Fear No Evil. I can’t wait to get my hands on more Brennan’s books…bet the same happens with you!
