Double Trouble.
Review by Kim Cantrell
I love Gregg Olsen’s true crime, but his fiction is just as fantastic. And his latest, Closer Than Blood is the best suspense thriller I’ve read all year!
Olsen has created a cleverly twisted story of twin sisters, Lainie and Tori O’Neal. While they may be identical in appearance, they are actually nothing alike.
Lainie is the sweet, well-liked, somewhat submissive twin. Tori, on the other hand, has a history of doing whatever it takes to get whatever she wants – even if it means murder.
Fifteen years ago, fellow classmate Jason Reed died in a car accident while dating Tori. The girls’ mother committed suicide. Tori’s first husband dies in a surfing accident in Hawaii. Now, just as the class of ’95 is planning their fifteen year reunion, the headlines are screaming about the home invasion that resulted in the death of Tori’s second husband.
Yes, Tori is a girl who will do anything to get what she wants. And no one can stand in her way. No one. Not even her twin sister.
Closer Than Blood is an extremely intense story that will keep you reading for hours. Just when you think you’ve reached a breaking point, BAM! another twist!
All of Gregg Olsen’s true crime has been intense reading and his previous fiction was pretty dang good too, but Closer Than Blood is AWESOME!
With so many exciting twists and turns and an explosive, unexpected ending, you won’t be able to put it down. I promise!
